Our Project and schools' facilities management team in Glasgow has started work on a new multi million pound school extension at St Paul's High School in Glasgow.

The team in Glasgow will manage the design and construction of a permanent 14 classroom extension and new sports changing facilities, within the school grounds.

This project is due for completion in 2022 and will create an environment that will nurture learning and teaching for future generations while increasing capacity from 900 to 1200 as a result of its growing role in the community.

John Paterson, Operational Director for Scotland, Amey Secure Infrastructure, said: "It is fantastic to be involved in the project that will have a lasting impact on the whole community. The work we are undertaking together with our local supply chain partners will provide 14 new state-of-the-art classrooms that will increase the school's capacity and help young people to flourish."

A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman said: “These are very exciting times. The new extension will enhance the school estate and benefit children and young people who will flourish in the new school extension.  This is something councillors have been campaigning for as Greater Pollok has the largest number of students in any ward in Glasgow and as a result, St Paul's has struggled with capacity issues."
