Success continues for leading engineering and public services provider, Amey, as they collect a number of the most respected and sought-after accolades at the Highways Magazine Excellence and Global Light Rail Awards for partnership working.
Andy Milner, Chief Executive for Amey said:
“We are the people working behind the scenes on some of the UK’s most demanding infrastructure projects, working around the clock to help keep the country moving. It is great to know that we are making a difference, but it is also hugely important that our people are recognised for the amazing work that they do, which is why prestigious awards such as these are so important.
We pride ourselves on being a collaborative business and that is what makes these achievements extra special; they have been accomplished together, with some of our closest partners and we are very pleased to be able to share these successes with them.”
At this year’s Highways Magazine Excellence Awards, the team picked up two awards in total, the first for Road Marking Project of the Year in partnership with Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University and Clearview Intelligence Ltd. As collaborative winners, Amey was recognised for demonstrating excellence for their input into the A720 Sheriffhall Roundabout project – a scheme to improve driver safety on a high traffic six-arm roundabout on the Edinburgh City Bypass.
The Amey team were also recognised in conjunction with Transport Scotland and other partners for the Highway Partnership Award. This award highlighted the collective approach the team took to reopening the Forth Road Bridge during what Scottish Parliament described as ‘an event of national significance’.
Amey also collected two awards and a ‘highly commended’ at the Global Light Rail Awards for their work in partnership with Keolis and Docklands Light Railway Limited (DLRL).
KeolisAmey Docklands (KAD) and Docklands Light Railway Limited (DLRL) won the Vision of the Year award for their collaborative approach in creating one shared vision and strategy - Delivering Service Excellence Every Day.
