Amey has bolstered its Ventures Team following the appointment of Rosie Llewellyn as Associate Director of Origination.
A former senior technical advisor at consultancy firm Mott MacDonald, Llewellyn assumed the role in February, marking a move by Amey to strengthen its market-leading position as an infrastructure investor in traditional sectors (waste, roads, schools) while supporting growth across new sectors including rail, smart meters and onshore transmission.
Asif Ghafoor, Managing Director of Amey’s Ventures Team, said: “We are delighted to have Rosie on board who we knew from previous projects. This recruitment is part of our strategy to hire people with the skillset required for shifting our business to new assets and building on our recent and past successes.”
Commenting on her new role, Llewelyn added: “I’m delighted to be joining Amey at a time when it is looking to build on its existing strengths and diversify into some new areas. I’m looking forward to working with Asif and his team to help drive new business opportunities for Amey and further develop its already extensive offering.”
Formerly, Llewellyn acted as a lead advisor on some of the UK’s largest waste transactions, including Amey’s £1.4 billion York and North Yorkshire Waste PPP Project, in addition to providing advisory services to UK and international lenders, sponsors and investors on schools and biomass projects and acquisition schemes.
