Amey is celebrating an award winning run, marking a remarkable season of success for Amey’s consulting division since the turn of the year, collecting a commendable nine awards. Receiving recognition from leading industry bodies confirms Amey Consulting’s position as an industry leader.
Winning the coveted Innovative Transport Project Award and the ICE London Civil Engineering Award for Amey’s innovative approach to strengthening the Hammersmith Flyover, further demonstrates the range of skills, expertise and industry renowned knowledge within Amey’s consulting business. The teams’ innovative approach, technical expertise, environmental focus, and dedication to health and safety has ensured excellence in project delivery across a range of Amey’s contracts.
Amey’s Consulting business scooped three awards for its work with the Highways Agency at the West Midlands Institution of Civil Engineers Awards, which included the Innovation and Geotechnical Project of the Year, for the Embankment remediation by Electrokinetic treatment on the M5. The teams pioneering approach to strengthening the embankment on the M5 has been widely acknowledged across the industry as a truly innovative project.
The Consulting business has also been honoured with four awards from the Institute of Highways Engineers, for its work on the Birmingham Highways Maintenance and Management Service, its work with Centro and for innovative ideas introduced on the Area 9 contract with the Highways Agency. A Special Judges Award for Stourbridge Bus Interchange, The Major Project of the Year Award for Birmingham City Centre Interchange, The Environmental Sustainability Project of the Year for the M5 Junction 7 Electro kinetic Embankment Stabilisation, and The Partnership Award - BHMMS (Client Birmingham City Council).
Topping off Amey’s award winning run, the Consulting business has also been named finalist for the Engineering Excellence title at the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) Awards.
