Amey has achieved Investors in People (IiP) Platinum accreditation, the highest level awarded recognising its people-first approach to leadership, workforce development, and inclusive culture. This prestigious accolade reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and empowering workplace where people thrive.
The achievement was celebrated at a launch event on 30 April at Amey’s Furnival Street office, attended by representatives from Investors in People, members of the Amey executive team, and our Chairman Lord Colin Moynihan.
Following a rigorous independent assessment, this Platinum status places Amey among an elite group of UK employers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to employee engagement, leadership, and purpose-driven culture.
Michael Burgess, Chief People Officer for Amey, said: "We are incredibly proud to have achieved Investors in People Platinum status. This award is a testament to the people-first culture we’ve worked so hard to build, where every voice matters, every individual is supported to grow, and where purpose drives performance. Our teams across the UK make Amey what it is today, and this recognition is for them."
Gwen Powell, International Manager for Investors in People, said: "Platinum status is an achievement attained by only a select group of organisations. Amey’s success reflects the significant and purposeful strides it has taken to build a more inclusive workplace and empower its people at every level. It has been a privilege to work with the team at Amey, and this accreditation is a testament to their dedication, leadership, and commitment to continuous improvement. A truly well-deserved recognition for both the business and its people."
Achieving Platinum status further establishes Amey as an employer of choice, particularly within the infrastructure, consulting, and engineering sectors, reinforcing its ambition to lead not only in project delivery but also in workplace culture and employee excellence.
