Prestigious RoSPA awards for Amey’s commitment to safety

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA) has awarded Amey five awards recognising the unwavering commitment and continual improvements being made across all aspects of health, safety, and wellbeing.  

Amey has scooped the top awards in the following business areas:  

Amey Consulting  

·       RoSPA Gold  - Order of Distinction

  • RoSPA Professional & Technical Activities Sector Award

Transport Infrastructure 

  • RoSPA Gold – Highways
  • RoSPA Silver - Rail

Complex Facilities 

·       RoSPA Gold

Amey Consulting collected a special award, RoSPA Professional & Technical Activities Sector Award, at the ceremony last night (Tuesday 14th May). The teams award winning inhouse psychology safety approach, ThinkSafe proactively and reactively targets safety behaviour, with bespoke action plans developed from findings to improve safety culture and health and safety performance, which is having a positive effect with teams across Amey.

Robert Doyle, Amey’s Health, Safety and Assurance Director, said: “We are thrilled that Amey has once again been recognised by RoSPA for our commitment to safety. These accomplishments showcase our ongoing pledge to prioritise safety in everything we do and the hard work and importance our people give to safety and wellbeing.

“We will continue to put safety first and empower our people to stay safe and speak out if they have any safety concerns. In doing so, we will retain our focus towards ensuring everyone goes home safe and well, every day.”

Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants compete to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.
