Amey, a leading provider of engineering, operations and decarbonisation solutions for UK infrastructure and complex facilities, has launched a new Leadership Development Programme, to support ambitious individuals on their journey to becoming a future business leader.

Launching in Amey’s consulting business, the two-year programme provides structured development, dedicated support and mentoring as well as masterclasses from industry leading delivery providers. On completion of the programme individuals will receive a Level 5 Operations Departmental Manager Apprenticeship qualification and the opportunity to gain Management Chartership through the Chartered Management Institute.

Working alongside professional leadership organisations, Train2Train, Cranfield University and People Create, the tailored programme is designed to support all levels within the business; those with no leadership experience who wish to progress into a management role, those with management experience looking to advance into a senior role and those with 3-5 years of leadership experience looking to advance their career into a director position.

Laura Simarro, Consulting People Director at Amey, said: “Our Leadership Development Programme has been designed to attract individuals who are looking for an opportunity to fulfil their potential, drive forward their progression and enhance their confidence as a leader. Once on board, individuals have access to a tailored development programme and extensive mentoring support to help drive a fulfilling career with Amey.

Across the business, we have exceptional individuals who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to developing their essential skills and leadership capability; we are looking forward to working with our partners to support both personal and professional development at all levels across Consulting.”

Becky Ashley, CEO at Train2Train, said: “We are excited to launch our bespoke leadership and management apprenticeship in partnership with Amey. We have collaborated with Amey to develop a programme that aligns with their leadership framework and develops the business leaders of the future.”

Amey currently has a range of opportunities on some of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects, supporting clients including National Highways, Network Rail, TfW and Transport Scotland. You can find a list of career opportunities here: Careers At Amey.
