Amey has been awarded a prestigious Princess Royal Training Award in recognition of its Women@Amey Leadership Development Programme.
The programme, which has been running for 6 years, was designed to empower and foster the growth of women in a predominantly male-dominated industry. The initiative has been instrumental in driving positive change within the company.
Since its inception, the programme has successfully guided 58 women through a comprehensive leadership curriculum, with 77% of participants successfully securing higher roles within the organisation. The representation of women within the business has also surged from 25% to an impressive 30% post-programme, while the number of women in senior leadership positions has seen a notable increase from 14% to 21%.
Louise Ramos, Talent Partner at Amey, commented: "We are immensely proud to receive the Princess Royal Training Award in recognition of our Women@Amey Leadership Development programme. This accomplishment underscores our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace that empowers individuals to thrive and excel.
“It has been fantastic to see the success of the women who have been on the programme so far and what they have achieved. We have recently launched our latest cohort, and thanks to the success of the programme, we’ve been able to double in size from previous years. This award is testament to the quality of the programme and its results.”
The Women@Amey Leadership Development Programme is an innovative 18-month training and mentoring programme where participants work towards reaching their potential with focus on a long-term goal of a leadership role.
