Customer focused champion of the year – AmeySRM

Jon Pettman - Traffic Management Manager, M6 Junction 19 Improvement scheme

This award recognises how an individual has had a positive influence in creating and embracing opportunities for delivering outstanding customer service. Jon’s in-depth understanding of the scheme and programme of work meant he could provide customers with the information they needed. Jon often met face-to-face with residents and businesses, attended parish council meetings and led a monthly stakeholder forum. He listened to any concerns and always provided positive solutions.

Chairman’s Award, this was awarded to Jon Pettman who works for Amey as Traffic Management Manager on AmeySRM projects. This award was announced at the end of the evening and recognised his personal achievements and attitude to embracing opportunities and delivering outstanding service.

Customer focused network management - AmeySRM

M6 Junction 19 Beam Installation

This award recognises how scheme activity was planned through the eyes of the customer and key stakeholders. AmeySRM worked with local residents, parish councils, road users, businesses and emergency services to gain feedback on the best options when looking to close the M6 and A556 for two full weekends. Having a major impact on the customer, AmeySRM took all the feedback into account and rather than choosing the December dates, that benefited both the programme and cost, the project team listened to the customer feedback and chose the January closures to minimise the disruption to the customer.
