Amey, a leading provider of critical infrastructure for local and national Government, has made a new appointment to strengthen its projects offering in Scotland. Frazer Meiklejohn has joined the business as Operations Director. As well as leading the account teams which deliver facilities management and lifecycle works for many schools across Scotland, he will oversee the delivery of specialist projects.
Frazer brings a wealth of experience in the FM and PFI sectors, having recently held senior roles with SSE Enterprise and FES Limited. He also brings extensive knowledge of project growth across the FM and energy sectors.
Amey already delivers a wide range of project work across its UK Defence, FM and Justice portfolio. This capability integrates the business’s in-depth knowledge of public estates and its project management expertise - ensuring long-term value and assured delivery for clients. The team is now growing this capability and has recently enhanced its bid pipeline after securing a place on several key strategic frameworks.
Speaking of his appointment, Secure Infrastructure Managing Director Craig McGilvray said: “Frazer represents a turning point for the business and strengthens our already thriving projects capability within Scotland. We recognise that many of our clients need advice when it comes to managing and modernising their assets and our team has the knowledge and skillset to do this. By growing this service, we are able to offer our clients an end-to-end solution; managing and maintaining their property through FM delivery and ensuring their buildings remain fit for the future in line with public expectation and sustainability targets.”
Amey delivers £400m of UK-wide projects and will be looking to grow activity across all regions as part of its wider business strategy.
