Amey wins reduced mobility passenger contract

Amey, one of the UK’s leading public service providers, has been awarded a £3million contract to provide services for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) at Edinburgh airport.

The contract will run over three years and will see Amey support 50,000 passengers at Edinburgh airport each year.

The service will help passengers with reduced mobility on their journey through the airport including check in, transport to the boarding gates and aircraft as well as assisting with egress from aircraft and access to their onward journey transportation.

As a leading provider of services to the aviation industry, Amey now has a presence in six UK airports and has seen year on year growth of up to 40% in the provision of cleaning and maintenance services. The company already delivers hard and soft facilities management to Edinburgh airport.

Speaking about the contract award, Mel Ewell, Chief Executive of Amey said: “We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with Edinburgh airport to provide services to passengers with reduced mobility.
