Amey, a leading support services company, today announced it has been awarded a contract by London Borough of Hackney to maintain its vehicle fleet for the next five years.
Amey will maintain & the fleet from its Andrews Road Workshop in Hackney over a five year period with continuous improvement being key to the contract.
The vehicle maintenance contract is worth around £2.25M over five years and will provide full vehicle maintenance and workshop service for 309vehicles owned and leased by London Borough of Hackney. Six fitters and one admin based team member will be appointed to service the contract.

Amey has identified the reduction of the fleet’s impact on the environment as a critical success factor and plans to work with the London Borough of Hackney to consider the use of energy, water and materials, the sustainable use of renewable resources an the reduction of adverse environmental impacts. In addition Amey plans to contribute to the conservation and protection of the natural environment and wherever reasonably practical, adopt low –polluting technologies, processes and practices.
