Owen Williams has won a five year contract to provide Sussex Police Authority with building surveying and professional property services, making them one of the leading providers of multi-disciplinary property consultancy to the emergency services sector.
The company currently provides professional property services to a number of the emergency services including Kent Police, Cheshire Police, the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority and East Sussex Fire Brigade. The new contract with Sussex Police Authority, worth more than £1 million over five years, reinforces its position.
A key element to Owen Williams’s successful tender was its approach to developing and implementing a new 24hr help desk service, which will see the company invest heavily in new software and technology to offer Sussex Police Authority the ability to report and monitor progress on maintenance requests both by telephone and using the Internet.
The contract will see Owen Williams providing property consultancy across the entire police portfolio covering both East and West Sussex. Owen Williams’s multidisciplinary services include asset management, project management, contracts administration and a number of specialist services such as asbestos consultancy.
As part of the contract a number of staff have transferred from Sussex Police Authority’s existing provider to Owen Williams.
“This contract win is another great boost for Owen Williams and reinforces our growing reputation amongst the emergency services sector,” said John Ayling, Property Business Sector Manager. “We’re committed to delivering best value and innovation and we’re looking forward to demonstrating our skills, abilities and professionalism to Sussex Police Authority.”
