Earlier this month 26 of our offices and depots across the UK collected for Foodbank Week in support of their local Trussell Trust foodbanks.

From Falkirk to Bristol, Kent to Birmingham, Norfolk to Glasgow, Leeds to Oxford and many places in between. our local accounts encouraged our big-hearted employees to donate foodstuffs to their local foodbank and they responded in an unprecedented way.

One of our local coordinators, Principle Business Improvement Manager Shona Hainey, said: “We have had an absolutely fantastic response to Foodbank Week in Eurocentral. Our teams were very generous and it is wonderful that we are able to support the local community in such a positive way.”

David Fawcett, Social Value Manager commented: “Foodbank Week is a key element of our social value activities bringing together our teams to support their local communities whilst supporting a companywide initiative, which will make a real difference to people’s lives. I am so proud that our teams responded to this year’s event so enthusiastically.”

Lisa Garcia, Facilities Administrator for Avon and Somerset Courts based in Bristol, added: “Our teams were incredibly supportive and we were able to drop off two large boxes of food to our local East Bristol Foodbank. The week inspired Sue Rea and myself to volunteer at the foodbank using our Community Involvement Day. We helped sort collections as well as help fundraise at Bristol Temple Meads train station. We had such a great day!”

Amey’s support for Foodbank Week followed over 110 Amey employees using their Community Involvement Day to support Trussell Trust in the lead up to Christmas.
