Amey, which provides highways maintenance services across Hampshire, has supported Hayling United U11 youth football club by providing a new playing kit for the team.

Taylor Monk, the Team Manager at Hayling United, said: “The children and parents are absolutely thrilled with the kit generously provided by Amey. Nine times out of ten a kit is sponsored by a parent’s employer, but to have a company of Amey's reputation and size support us is brilliant.”

This follows a similar arrangement with Portsmouth-based Fleur De Lys Warrior U10 youth football club.

Team Manager for Fleur De Lys Warrior U10, Scott Sturgeon, added: “We are delighted to welcome Amey as our kit sponsor. Their support is much appreciated and has given us a real boost for the season ahead.”

David Fawcett, Customer Services Manager for Amey, commented: “We are delighted to support both Hayling United U11 and Fleur De Lys Warrior U10 and wish them all the best for the current season.”

Over the past year, Amey has entered into several partnerships across Hampshire that have benefitted young people, through work experience placements, recruitment of apprentices, and school and college events. Amey’s work with young people in Hampshire reflects Amey’s corporate values, including a commitment that 2% of the workforce will be apprentices. Every Amey employee is also entitled to an annual paid Community Involvement Day to dedicate to local voluntary work.

Both teams play in the Portsmouth Youth Football League.
