Leading infrastructure and public service provider Amey is pleased to announce Andy Denman will be joining the business to take responsibility for its local and strategic highways operations.
As the new Highways Sector Director, Andy will be an integral part of the Transport Infrastructure Executive Team. His immediate priorities will be focused on supporting our people and teams to excel, in particular embedding our effective operating model and delivering our highways growth plan as we all look to build back better.
For the past five years, Andy was Operations Director at Ringway Jacobs, leading a portfolio of local authority contracts. He created a single operational leadership team overseeing over 1,300 employees, dedicated to developing a high performing team culture.
Peter Anderson, Managing Director of Transport Infrastructure, said: “I’m delighted Andy is joining Amey and my Executive team, to drive the growth of the Transport Infrastructure business. We have an ambitious plan for the future to secure profitable growth, while maximising the combined knowledge across the business unit to deliver leading solutions for our clients and customers.”
With 25 years experience in the highways industry, Andy has worked with local authority clients, as well as strategic highways clients, such as Highways England. Prior to his role at Ringway Jacobs, Andy spent his early career at Carillion, progressing to Contracts Director. Followed by Business Director roles at Skanska including running the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough highways services contract.
Andy Denman added: “Achieving business success and delivering our strategic plan will need us to engage and work collaboratively, devising and implementing new and innovative ways to work. Collaborating to devise and implement improved ways of working is critical to engage people in the future of the business and our strategic plan. I’m looking forward to joining a team who are passionate about delivering the right solutions for our clients, who champion innovation and technology in service delivery, and who ultimately want to keep people safe.”
Andy will be joining Amey in May 2021.
