Amey one of the UK’s leading public service providers has donated over 100 Christmas hampers to local Oxfordshire charity Age Concern, helping to support the charity’s important work with older people across the country.
Amey provided hampers to every employee as a thank-you for their commitment and hard work over the past twelve months. Employees based at Amey’s offices on Oxford Science Park this year were asked if they would like to donate their Christmas Hamper to a local charity.
The hampers were provided in an environmentally friendly bag, and contained everything from mince pies and chocolates through to Christmas puddings and a cheese and biscuit selection.
The Hampers were donated to Age Concern Oxfordshire, which is an independent local charity with over 40 years of experience in promoting the well-being of older people throughout the county of Oxfordshire, and helping to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
Jenny Hinde Head of Amey’s Community Group commented: ‘The response to the appeal was overwhelming and we are delighted to be supporting this local charity. By donating hampers to Age Concern we can hopefully provide some support for local residents and communities over the Christmas period.”
Jo Fowler from Age Concern commented; “We are extremely grateful that Amey has chosen Age Concern as the recipient charity for their hamper donation. Receiving a hamper will make such a huge supporting difference to many residents in Oxfordshire.”
