Amey, a leading support services company, has been included in this year’s Business in the Community (BITC) Top 100 Corporate Responsibility Index. This is the third consecutive year that Amey has been ranked amongst the UK’s leading companies for its corporate responsibility best practice.
BITC’s Corporate Responsibility Index covers four key impact areas (community, environment, workplace and marketplace) and captures the extent to which corporate responsibility is integrated into a company’s corporate strategy and translated into responsible business practice.
Based on performance across the key areas, the top scoring companies are placed into one of four bands - platinum, gold, silver or bronze. This year, Amey’s achievements placed it in the silver category.
Keith Sexton, Amey’s health, safety, environment and quality director, commented: “It’s a real achievement for Amey to maintain its position within BITC’s top 100 companies for the third year in a row. It’s a reflection of how we’ve made our commitment to the communities and environment that we operate in a core part of our business and how every member of Amey staff works to make sure we deliver on this commitment."
