Amey, a leading support services company, has been awarded a Transport Direct Framework, for the next phase of the already successful integrated travel portal, with the opportunity to provide software engineering development services to the Department for Transport.

Amey will be supporting Transport Direct’s vision to provide comprehensive, easy-to-use, multi-modal real time travel information for both public transport journeys and car journeys around Britain.

Chris Webster, Executive Director, Amey, said: "This award recognises the depth of service we are now able to offer following our acquisition of Owen Williams, consolidating our position as a leading player in the transport consultancy market.

"We look forward to offering our support to the Department for Transport and working with them to maintain and improve Britain’s transport network."
