As an engineering graduate you will have a variety of progression opportunities. Including the chance to work on large-scale engineering projects and become a Chartered Engineer through your preferred Professional Institution.

As a Science and Technology Graduate you’ll need to have an appetite and capability for analytics and the use of statistical data to help us develop innovative solutions for our customers.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Previous technical / industry experience
  • Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills
  • MS Office skills and CAD experience

You'll need to be:

  • Organised and self-motivated with the drive to provide a fresh perspective on engineering challenges
  • Passionate about progressing your career and developing within your technical discipline, including working towards Chartered Engineer status
  • Keen to develop your existing skills and acquire new technical competences to enhance personal and team capability

Environment

We’re looking for passionate and enthusiastic graduates to get involved in a wide range of environmental and sustainability consultancy projects.

Our Environment and Sustainability team provides strategic environmental consultancy services across transport, utilities, defence and local government infrastructure. The team carries out ecology surveys, landscape design, arboriculture surveys, noise assessments, health impact assessments and other environmental consultancy projects.

We are looking for innovative thinkers to help us brilliantly deliver multidisciplinary projects for our customers. At the end of the programme, you could progress into an Assistant Environmental Consultant role, with the goal of working towards fully qualified Principal Environmental Consultant status.

Quantity Surveying/Commercial

We’re looking for talented, self-motivated graduates to join our commercial team.

From day one, you’ll be involved in essential tasks such as valuing works as well as gathering and providing records to substantiate cost. You may also get to help us bid for new work, gaining valuable business development experience.

At the end of the programme, you could progress into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Commercial Manager role, with the goal of working towards a fully qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor or Principal Commercial Manager.

General Management/Operations

Our General Management/Operations Graduates are integral to our future success and growth – we’re looking for our future leaders who will run our business efficiently and effectively.

We’ll give you real responsibility from day one, providing rewarding experiences that will stretch you. We have General Management and Operations Graduates working across our whole business, in all of the sectors in which we operate including transport, utilities, facilities management, environment and consulting.

You will work in an operational, project or business management role. Whichever management career you choose, we’ll help you develop strong people management skills, commercial and business acumen and operational expertise.

Business

Our central functions form the backbone of our operations, keeping the business running successfully every day. We’re looking for Business Graduates to play a key role in contributing to this.

We have Business Graduates working across all of central functions including; HR, IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Bidding, Marketing Communications and Health & Safety. If you have a background in (or are interested in), any of these business areas, the Business Graduate Programme could be for you.

You will receive a tailored development programme, exposure to key projects and senior business leaders, whilst gaining hands-on experience and business skills in order to grow your career. We will also support you to gain professional qualifications.

After the programme you will progress into a managerial role taking on more personal responsibility to help us grow our business.
