What’s in the programme?

Our two-year Graduate Development Programme starts you on a journey to develop your career in a challenging, dynamic and supportive work environment. We’ll give you a real role from day one, so you’ll get invaluable experience and exposure working on varied and exciting projects for a large, diverse and ambitious organisation.

We’re committed to passing on our knowledge and skills. And we’ll give you first class mentoring and guidance, from the industry experts you’ll be working closely with. We’ll also help you work towards professional qualifications relevant to you, for example:

  • Engineering - IENG, CEng
  • Environment - CEng, IEMA
  • Quantity Surveying/Commercial - RICS
  • General Management/Operations - such qualifications may include PRINCE2, BIFM, ILM or CMI
  • Business - CIPD (HR), CIMA (Finance) or CIM (Communications)

Over two years, you’ll cover personal development, business skills and business improvement techniques.

We’ll pay you a competitive starting salary, and if you perform well, we’ll give you a pay rise every six months whilst on the graduate programme. At the end of the programme you can expect to progress into the next level of your chosen career.

What is the deadline for applications?

We recruit graduates all year round and set a closing date for each vacancy when it is advertised. We may close the vacancy sooner than the advertised date if we receive a maximum number of applications - our advice is to apply as soon as possible.

How do I apply for a graduate vacancy?

Click on the 'Apply now' button and search through the advertised roles. To find out more information about a specific role, select it and you will be given the option to apply. If you are a new user, you will be asked to register your details.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes. Check our current vacancies and submit an application for any positions that suit your skills.

Can I apply for the position if the closing date has passed?

Sorry but no. Please check our current vacancies for other roles to avoid missing out on future opportunities.

Can I apply for a position in the UK if I need a work permit?

Everyone is asked for evidence of their right to live and work in the UK, by providing either a UK/EU passport or a work permit. We are not able to offer support in obtaining work permits except in very rare cases of critical skills shortages.

If I'm not successful this time, can I apply again?

Yes of course. All candidates are encouraged to apply again if and when a suitable role arises. Please check our current vacancies for other jobs and sign up for our Job Alerts.

How does the interview process work?

Our interview process is based on the requirements of the role. We use competency-based interviewing, psychometric testing and assessment centres, plus a variety of other selection tools where appropriate. It sounds scary but we promise it isn’t. We will give you details of the format when we invite you for an interview.

How long does the selection process take?

There is no fixed timeframe for the selection process. But we do understand the pressures of looking for work and we’ll do everything we can to make the selection process as fast as possible for you.

Is there a Refer-a-Friend scheme?

Yes. If one of our team recommends you and you’re successful, they could get up to £1,000 – as long as they’re not part of the selection process.
