Apprentices

Intermediate level

Our Intermediate Apprenticeship Programme gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, earn a competitive salary and gain nationally recognised Level 2 qualifications.

What you’ll need to apply

You need at least 2 GCSEs grades A*-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths to apply for an Intermediate Apprenticeship.

When you’re finished your apprenticeship, you’ll be awarded an S/NVQ Level 2 (and Functional Skills if required) in the relevant subject.

What you will receive:

  • A competitive starting salary from £16,000 per annum
  • Mentoring and guidance from the industry experts you’ll be working closely with
  • Support, every step of the way from a manager (to mentor your progress), a buddy (to guide you on programme) and access to a dedicated Early Careers community
  • Personal development, taking part in webinars and wellbeing events with the wider Graduate community

Advanced level

Our Advanced Apprenticeship Programme gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, earn a competitive salary and gain nationally recognised Level 3 qualifications.

What you’ll need to apply

You need at least 4 GCSEs grades A*-C (or equivalent) in English, Maths, Science and one other subject to apply for an Advanced Apprenticeship.

When you’re finished your apprenticeship, you’ll be awarded an S/NVQ Level 3 and technical qualification.

What you will receive:

  • A competitive starting salary from £17,004 per annum
  • Mentoring and guidance from the industry experts you’ll be working closely with
  • Support, every step of the way from a manager (to mentor your progress), a buddy (to guide you on programme) and access to a dedicated Early Careers community
  • Personal development, taking part in webinars and wellbeing events with the wider Graduate community

Higher level

Our Higher level Apprenticeship Programme gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, earn a competitive salary and gain nationally recognised Level 4 or above qualifications.

What you’ll need to apply

You need at least 3 A-Levels (or equivalent) at grades A*-C to apply for an Intermediate Apprenticeship.

When you’re finished your apprenticeship, you’ll be awarded an S/NVQ Level 4 and technical qualification (HNC/HND) or Foundation Degree.

What you will receive:

  • A competitive starting salary from £17,511 per annum
  • Mentoring and guidance from the industry experts you’ll be working closely with.
  • Support, every step of the way from a manager (to mentor your progress), a buddy (to guide you on programme) and access to a dedicated Early Careers community
  • Personal development, taking part in webinars and wellbeing events with the wider Graduate community

Degree level

Our Degree Apprenticeships offer anyone who has completed full-time education real-work experience while studying at Degree level.

We have a range of opportunities available:

  • Rail Design
  • Civil Engineering
  • Data Science
  • Environmental
  • General Management

During the scheme, you’ll attend University to learn the skills you need to excel in your field. You’ll also be working in our offices or out on site – putting everything you’ve learnt into practice, and engaging with our teams on work that makes a difference.

Accreditation

You’ll have the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications such as:

  • A University degree
  • A professional qualification

What you will receive:

  • A competitive starting salary from £18,135 per annum, and annual salary reviews based on your performance.

What do you need to apply?

It depends on the programme, but generally you need to have at least two A-Levels at grade A* to C, with five GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths and a Science. Alternatively, you may have already completed a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.
