Assistant Commercial Manager
James moves from intern to business black belt.
A summer internship gave James a taste of finance and commerce – with a flavour of what it’s like to work at Amey.
“I was certain I wanted to go back to Amey after I finished my Business Management degree. I already felt part of the team and I knew the company looks after its people, so I decided just to go for it and ask if there was a permanent job for me at the local office. ”
He now monitors budgets and finds ways of making our business more efficient. He enjoys the analytical side of his job and he’s building on that by training for a, ‘black belt’ in Six Sigma lean – a qualification in business efficiency that Amey’s happy to sponsor him for.
“There’s a lot to look forward to in my future at Amey. It’s so diverse, the opportunities are endless.
