Waste Collection

We protect our environment by encouraging people to reuse and recycle more – reducing the amount of waste going to landfill and keeping our streets and public spaces, clean.

Our Waste Collections teams understand the importance of an effective bin collection service – because it directly impacts the cleanliness and appearance of local neighbourhoods. We work with local authorities to deliver a waste service that covers everything from the doorstep right through to processing, recycling and creating energy from waste.

We make recycling easier for everyone with modern household waste recycling centres (HWRC) providing facilities for recyclables that aren’t routinely taken at kerbside collections to safely recycle them. Our on-site teams put a big focus on customer service so everyone – residents and local authorities alike – understand the important role they play in protecting the environment through effective waste management.

Litter and general street cleanliness frequently tops the list of residents’ concerns, so we create public spaces you can be proud of. Our highly skilled teams work up and down the country to create functional, inspirational places that we can all enjoy and appreciate, by clearing litter, tackling graffiti and maintaining award winning toilets through our street cleaning teams to landscaping, nurturing plants and habitats and creating complex planting schemes as part of the work we do through our grounds maintenance teams. And because each place comes with its own requirements, we use technology to make sure our approach is designed for local needs.
