Amey is proud to operate and maintain motorway and trunk road technology infrastructure across the whole of Scotland.  In 2012 we secured a six-year contract with Transport Scotland to provide operations and infrastructure services for Traffic Scotland.

Through this truly integrated contract we are tasked with improving traffic information and journey time reliability for all road users, helping to keep Scotland moving.

We manage and improve roadside technology including nearly 800 emergency roadside telephones and almost 500 overhead lane control signals on motorway gantries, and monitor the network 24/7 from the purpose-built National Network Control Centre at South Queensferry.

Using a range of new technologies, including social media channels, we distribute accurate and timely information about incidents that occur on the roads, giving road users the chance to plan
