To supervise the fitness team and oversee the deliverance of the fitness provision in accordance with the SLAs set out. The post holder will also support the Soft FM Service Delivery Manager in helping supervise the front of house team.
This is a permanent, full time position based at MOD Abbeywood

To ensure that SLA’s are maintained, that complaints are minimal and that no breaches of contract occur.
Supervise the Fitness facility, ensuring a safe, clean and tidy environment in maintained.
The post holder will be responsible for the staffing roster ensuring that at all times classes are suitably covered and is expected to cover any shortfalls.
Support the fitness instructors and encourage, manage and motivate them daily.
Complete fitness inductions ensuring customers are competent and able to use the facility and equipment.
Ensure the equipment is fully maintained and report / follow through any failings.
Lead and cover a range of fitness classes.
To complete any training required and to take part in the training of other colleagues if required.
To utilise and maintain a variety of computer programs on a daily basis.
Follow a schedule of works but be adaptable to meet additional requests.
Ensure all equipment is checked before use, is fit for use, and that you are trained to use it.
Ensure health and safety requirements are followed as directed by management and complete tool box talks to the team.
Train and induct new employees when necessary.
Maintain an awareness of confidentiality and data protection when working in sensitive environments.
Wear the uniform provided and ensure ID is carried at all times.
Comply with the extra security restrictions in place in some buildings.

Role Specific Requirements
This role requires the employee to hold a Level 2 Fitness qualification as a minimum.
The post holder will be required to complete various cleaning tasks in order to ensure the equipment is well maintained and presentable.
The post holder will be competent in taking a range of classes consisting of Spin, Circuits and Core classes.
This role predominantly follows a Monday to Friday routine, with hours ranging from 07:00 – 20:00. No weekends or Bank holidays.
This role will be based on the Amey Soft Services Contract and the main place of work will be MOD Abbey Wood.Relationships:

What are we looking for?
Skills & Experience Profile
· Previous practical experience working as a Fitness Instructor.
· Previous supervisory experience.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Able to pass security screening.
· Previous experience of working with Military personal.
· Previous reception / administrator experience.
· IT skills.
· Experience of operating in a security sensitive environment/and or previous SC clearance.
Training & Qualifications
· Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification.
· Spin qualified.
· Trained and qualified in customer service skills.
· Facilities accredited qualifications/ training packages completed.
· First aid at work.
Effective communications skills are required to engage with colleagues across the business.
