What is the purpose of this role?
Reporting into the Planning and Scheduling Team Leader, Planners will ensure Civils and Ironworks activities are planned and scheduled to meet operational, commercial and regulatory output requirements.
The role will ensure work is planned, allocated, reported on and completed efficiently within SAP and Advantex, in accordance with NRSWA 1991 and contract delivery timescales and processes. The role must be carried out in alignment with Yorkshire Water’s ICOM principles at all times with an understanding of our SIM KPI measures.
Working Hours:Monday to Friday 07:00-17:00
Salary: up to 22k
What will this role involve?
- To program, allocate and coordinate work orders, through liaison with Supervisors and Amey suppliers.
- To plan all works with specific considerations to both safety and customer impacts, according to:
- Resource availability
- Customer Commitments
- External constraints
- TMA / NRSWA Constraints
- Specialist requirements
- To ensure that Teams are issued with comprehensive job-packs or order information through Toughbooks that defines:
- the work required
- any traffic management constraints
- any specialist equipment or plant requirements
- customer contact details
- any relevant customer history
- details of any risks and constraints
- safe dig prints as appropriate.
Relationships – builds strong working relationships with both internal (Scheduling and Operations) and external (Customers and Third Parties) stakeholders.
Systems Expertise – comprehensive understanding of Amey and Yorkshire Water systems, with a particular focus on SAP, Advantex, Confirm and ICE.
Health, Safety & Environment - The ability to assess the impact our operations have on Health & Safety matters. Thorough knowledge of H & S policies and procedures.
Customer Focus - Act as role model in personal approach to customer focus. Takes time to establish underlying needs of customers beyond those initially expressed. Organises processes around the customer taking account of complex and sensitive issues to meet their needs. Captures customer feedback and communicates ideas and information to appropriate people.
