What is the purpose of this role?
As a result of the growth of our Darlington office, our Structures team have requirement for a Structural Engineer to work on a variety of Highways England projects.
Your role will be to develop designs from concept to detailed design using local and national guidance to achieve cost effective solutions in line with our Client's requirements. You will produce feasibility studies, engineering solutions, design concepts, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other technical documents ensuring compliance with Amey procedures.
What will this role involve?
Working closely with the Senior Engineers and design team you will ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards and that the delivery of all the specified project outcomes are on time, within budget and to the quality required.
This is an exciting team to be part of as we will ensure you have the chance to work on a variety of interesting and challenging highways structures schemes.
What are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer approaching CEng or IEng status. You will be experienced in the preparation of highways structures schemes (bridges, retaining walls, culverts etc.) including preparation of Specifications, bill items, risk assessments and method statements.
You will be a client focused Engineer with experience of working to structural design codes, and experience of working to the Highways England DMRB and MCHW;
