What do we do at Waterbeach?
We deliver a range of waste services from our 400 acre Waste Management Park at Waterbeach – about three miles north of Cambridge. The site has a range of services including:
- A state-of-the-art materials recycling facility (MRF), which can process mixed recyclable materials from households and businesses
- Mechanical Biological Treatment facility – this takes all of Cambridgeshire’s residual (black bag) waste
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Cleaner who will be responsible for the cleaning of both the front of the site, and within the Compost Hall. You will also be required to complete daily checks to ensure the plant can operate correctly. You may also be required to be a part of the Confined Space Rescue Team which involves ensuring all members of the team are safe and working within health and safety produces, of which you will be given training on. You must adhere to health and safety requirements whilst working. You will be working in a team of around 8 people who all have a great team spirit, are supportive, and want to get the job done safely, so ideally we’d like you to have some experience of working within a team.
We operate on three different shift patterns:
- 06:00am – 14:00pm
- 14:00pm – 22:00pm
- 22:00pm – 06:00am
The salary for this position is up to £20,000 per annum. You will be entitled to 24 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holidays on top! There is also a potential for overtime to be offered.
