Supporting our Suppliers through Covid-19
As we navigate our way through this turbulent period, we want you to know that as a supplier you are a core and valued part of the Amey family and we are committed to doing all we can to support your business.
Amey is proud of the critical role it plays in the delivery of public services across the UK, many of which are essential to the government’s mitigation strategies for Covid-19, including secure facilities management, utilities maintenance and household waste management. Without you this would not be possible.
We are also responsible for ensuring millions of key workers are able to continue delivering vital public services across the country. Firstly, by ensuring their children are able to attend clean and safe schools; and secondly, that the necessary transport infrastructure is in place so these key workers can travel to work. You are a critical part of this national effort.
Like many businesses, we’re having to quickly adapt: we’re developing business continuity plans to manage our operations through the disruption, many of which are aimed squarely at protecting our suppliers. Among these measures, I would like to emphasise the following:
- We are working around the clock to identify at risk suppliers and provide them with additional support
- We are focused on providing all our suppliers with consistency of workflow
- We are redeploying suppliers to critical services where possible
We will continue to refine how we support everyone in the Amey supply chain going forward, particularly the thousands of small businesses and social enterprises we work with.
