What is the deadline for applications?
Placements typically start between June – September, however we do recruit undergraduates all year round. When each individual role is advertised, we will set a specific closing date for applications or close it when we have received a maximum number - our advice is to apply as soon as possible.
How do I apply for an undergraduate opportunity at Amey?
Click on the 'Apply now' button and search through the advertised roles. To find out more information about a specific role, select it and you will be given the option to apply.
If you are a new user, you will be asked to register your details.
If you can’t see an opportunity that’s right for you at the moment, please sign up to our ‘Job Alerts’ so that we can tell you when they come up.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes, check our current vacancies and submit an application for any positions that suit your skills.
Will I be paid for my placement?
Yes, you will be paid a competitive salary for your placement. If your placement is under 12 months, your salary will be pro-rata for the time you’ve worked.
How long will my placement last?
Typically we offer 3, 6 or 12-month placements. The length of the placement will be clearly stated on the job advert.
Can I apply for a position in the UK if I need a work permit?
All employees will be asked for evidence of their right to live and work in the UK, by providing either a UK/EU passport or a work permit. We are not able to offer support in obtaining work permits except in very rare cases of critical skills shortages.
How does the interview process work?
Our interview process is based on the requirements of the role. We use competency-based interviewing, psychometric testing and assessment centres, plus a variety of other selection tools where appropriate. We will give you details of the format when we invite you for an interview.
How long does the selection process take?
There is no fixed timeframe for the selection process. However, we understand the pressures of looking for work and we’ll do everything we can to make the selection process as fast as possible.
