People with disabilities

Over six million people in the UK have a disability or a health condition. This is a large pool of talented people who need support in order to achieve their potential – and help us achieve ours. We are strongly committed to employing people with disabilities and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

 

Harnessing the talents, skills and experiences of people with disabilities will help us create a stronger, more diverse business that reflects the communities we serve.

To show our commitment, we have signed up to the UK government's Disability Confident campaign. This not only helps people with disabilities or health conditions to get into full time employment, but also gives them the support they need while they are at work.

We already have a number of highly valued employees with disabilities working across Amey. Some are ex-service personnel whose disabilities result from injuries sustained on active service. Others are people with life-long conditions.

We are determined to do more to attract talented people with disabilities to work with us. We're challenging attitudes towards disability and increasing understanding by working with the government and other employers. We are removing barriers to employment for disabled people and those with long-term health conditions and will guarantee an interview for anyone with a disability who is qualified to do the job.
