Below are some frequently asked questions. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have an unanswered question.

What is the deadline for applications?

We recruit graduates all year round and set a closing date for each vacancy when it is advertised. We may close the vacancy sooner than the advertised date if we receive a maximum number of applications - our advice is to apply as soon as possible.

How do I apply for a graduate vacancy at Amey?

Click on the 'Apply now' button and search through the advertised roles. To find out more information about a specific role, select it and you will be given the option to apply.

If you are a new user, you will be asked to register your details.

If there are no graduate vacancies in your chosen area, please sign up to our ‘Job Alerts’ so that we can tell you when they come up.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes, check our current vacancies and submit an application for any positions that suit your skills.

Can I apply for the position if the closing date has passed?

Unfortunately you cannot apply for a position once the closing date has passed. Please check our current vacancies for other roles and sign up for our 'Job Alerts' to avoid missing out on future opportunities.

Can I apply for a position in the UK if I need a work permit?

All employees will be asked for evidence of their right to live and work in the UK, by providing either a UK/EU passport or a work permit. We are not able to offer support in obtaining work permits except in very rare cases of critical skills shortages.

If I'm not successful this time, can I apply again?

All candidates are encouraged to apply again if and when a suitable role arises. Please check our current vacancies for other jobs and sign up for our job alerts.

How does the interview process work?

Our interview process is based on the requirements of the role. We use competency-based interviewing, psychometric testing and assessment centres, plus a variety of other selection tools where appropriate. We will give you details of the format when we invite you for an interview.

How long does the selection process take?

There is no fixed timeframe for the selection process. However, we understand the pressures of looking for work and we’ll do everything we can to make the selection process as fast as possible. 

Does Amey have a Refer-a-Friend scheme?

Yes. The Refer-a-Friend scheme allows our employees to nominate someone who they think could work for Amey and live our values. As long as they are not part of the selection process and they recommend a successful candidate, they can be rewarded with up to £1,000.
