Anca is a versatile data analyst and business intelligence specialist. She has worked closely with infrastructure clients in utilities, highways and rail, improving performance against contractual KPIs and regulatory targets through advanced data processing, modelling and evidence-based redesign of business processes and policies. She is a capable programmer, keen on developing and implementing data solutions using modern, scalable and robust cloud-based technologies.
Anca is a certified Scrum Product Owner and an agile advocate on the team. She has a keen interest in how the agile framework and principles can be applied beyond software development and IT to improve team performance, stakeholder engagement and project outcomes.
Anca’s project experience includes working with National Grid to model a multi-level engineering decision-making process using machine learning, providing a robust, objective replication to increase the regulator’s confidence National Grid’s risk output calculations. The work helped secure savings of £60 million over the 4-year regulatory period and was short-listed for a NxtGen award from the Institute of Asset Management.
Anca also worked with a £60 million p.a. turnover Amey Utilities contract which provides waste water services for a major water company. Anca managed a workstream and led a team of five people, delivering a 16-month transformation and performance improvement programme plan, with expected cost-savings of £5 million per annum.
Outside of work, Anca spends (maybe too much) time at the gym and occasionally takes out her road bike for a not-too-hilly ride in the countryside.
