Richard Ward

Chief Transformation Officer

What is your greatest professional achievement?

It’s an obvious answer but it has to be being announced as an executive member at Amey.

What advice would you have given yourself 20 years ago?

Aside from to buy lots of Apple Inc shares, I would say to always be true and honest to yourself and to what you believe in.

What are your priorities in your role?

In simple terms, to give the business units more freedom to perform by simplifying the business structure and making the enabling functions more effective in supporting the business.

What motivates you to come to work?

Without a doubt it’s the people that I work with.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Mainly spending time with my family. I have three very active young children, so most weekends I can be found stood next to a rugby or football field. I am also a keen (but not very good) golfer.
