EduAction

EduAction is a joint venture project between Amey and Nord Anglia Education Services. The project is run in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The contract began in July 2001 and provides education management to schools in the Borough.

The £40 million a year contract covers pupil services, school development and core support services. EduAction operates as an integrated business unit. Amey’s process management, service delivery knowledge and experience has provided great benefits across the whole contract.

The partner companies have made significant investment into the education sector. Their aim being to provide every pupil with a high quality education environment and experience. This includes providing a total service solution provision including schools improvement and management support processes.

EduAction has taken the concept of continual improvement and pushed it to the fore. The contract understands schools’ need to improve educational standards and offers both management and service support to sustain this. EduAction provides strategic advice to the school and support to all levels of leadership including assistance to the board of governors.

EduAction also provides quality activities designed to support work-related learning projects. These include Business Enterprise Challenge, based around budget management and product promotion; Insight into Industry; enabling young students to have an insight into various jobs; Professional interview skills, where students experience a one-to-one interview and Fresh Start which is an employability programme for pupils not engaging in academic life at school.

EduAction also looks at the specialist elements of education and again offers a service providing support and advice in this field. We also provide full facilities management service including building cleaning, grounds maintenance, letting service and staffing support is. A conference centre is available to offer our clients a unique venue within Waltham Forest. Other areas of management support catered for are finance (including procurement and payroll), Human Resource services (which includes a training and development process) and positive health and safety awareness.

EduAction also provides a comprehensive ICT service, delivering and maintaining the new technology that is crucial to any learning environment. EduAction’s focus is on providing the highest level of customer care and maintaining an effective partnership while championing continuous improvement.
