Leading public services provider Amey today announced the appointment of Jayne Bowie as its Group Legal Director, effective April 2017.

An experienced project finance and corporate lawyer, Bowie joined Amey in 2012 after eleven years in private practice, including six at Freshfields.

Welcoming the appointment, Amey's CEO Andy Milner, said: "Jayne has been an integral part of our legal team for over four years and in that time has brought her experience to bear on several key successes for Amey, including our Allerton Waste Recovery Park Project, Milton Keynes Waste Project and Scottish Roads (M8) Project. I'm pleased to be welcoming Jayne to the executive team and the board."

Jayne Bowie commented: “There are a number of key company initiatives at Amey this year, including a renewed focus on performance and client delivery through more effective contract management. I'm very much looking forward to contributing to those initiatives and having a more pivotal role in the company going forwards.”

As Group Legal Director, Bowie will be responsible for leading the legal and corporate services teams and will assume responsibility for risk management and compliance.
