Over the past 6 months, our Local Government team in Scotland has been mobilising the new education contracts in Clackmannanshire and Scottish Borders and we are delighted to welcome all the new staff who have joined Amey through this period.

As part of the contract we will be providing Facilities Management to 6 schools across the two regions including cleaning, janitorial provision, security, grounds maintenance and building maintenance.

There have been really strong teams built very quickly in the new schools and the locations in Clackmannanshire: Alva Academy, Alloa Academy and Lornshill Academy, and Scottish Borders; Eyemouth High School, Berwickshire High School and Earlston High School that will soon come on stream. We have some fantastic staff who have been integral to the mobilisation process of the contract.

Business Manager for the East of Scotland, Ewen Blair told us: "The new education contracts in Clackmannanshire and Borders are our most recent in Amey’s overall education portfolio. They have given us the opportunity to work with new Local Authorities and look at expanding the capabilities of Amey in Scotland.  We look forward to working with the new authorities in Clackmannanshire and Borders and are delighted to welcome all the staff, both new and TUPE transferred, to the schools. I’d also like to welcome our new operations managers Deborah and Graham who I know will bring a wealth of experience from within Amey and beyond to these new contracts."
