Amey appoints Natasha Hawkes nee Hall as Area Manager in charge of highway operations in Hampshire

Amey, who work in partnership with Hampshire County Council to deliver routine highways maintenance and improvement schemes works across the County, has just appointed Natasha Hawkes nee Hall as Area Manager in charge of highway operations in the south of the county.

Ten years ago Natasha took two days work as an office temp assisting with highways admin and has worked her way up through a variety of jobs to be in charge of more than 80 staff based at our Bishops Waltham Depot.

Natasha commented “I am really pleased to have become Area Manager. This new role is an exciting opportunity where each day provides fresh challenges and ensures I am always kept on my toes”.

Natasha is keen to encourage young woman into an industry once regarded as predominantly male and will be working with local schools to promote career opportunities. “This is a great career for men and woman as long as you are willing to work hard to deliver a first class service to the people of Hampshire” said Natasha. “Amey has provided me with so much opportunity and I look forward to this next phase in my career.”

2009 has been an exciting year for Natasha, as well as her new role she married her fiance Daniel in April, asked what she likes best about her role with Amey Natasha answered “The variety, working with the team and knowing we are making a difference to peoples lives. “

Amey's Service Director for the contract Kunle Kolaru commented “I would like to congratulate Natasha on her promotion. We are committed to providing a quality service for the people of Hampshire and Natasha has a key role to play in the delivery of this.”
