Amey appoints new integrated transport services market specialist

Amey, a leading support services company, today announced the appointment of Russell Whale as Integrated Transport Services (ITS) Market Specialist. Russell joins the company from the Highways Agency.

As ITS Market Specialist, Russell will advise and provide guidance on ITS development policies and implementation issues such as Demand Management. Russell’s role will cover the use of technology across all current business areas including rail, strategic highways and local government.

Russell said: “I took this opportunity with Amey to work in the private sector with a forward thinking and expanding service provider. Since the acquisition of Owen Williams, Amey has provided an integrated service for clients, encouraging them to use technologies to achieve their objectives and I look forward to working with the company as it continues to grow.”

Russell brings to the role 15 years experience in the transport sector having worked with the Highways Agency and the Department of Transport.  Most recently, Russell was team Leader for the Traffic Operations Directorate and advisor to the Traffic Operations Director within the Highways Agency.
