Why did you choose Amey?
For the Leadership Programme, as it’s possible to gain experience in different roles across the company before committing to a particular career path. I also wanted a job that would allow me to travel throughout the UK.

What is the most satisfying aspect of your role?
The balance of freedom and responsibility. It’s really satisfying to be trusted to think for myself and get on with things.

How has your training/professional development matched your expectations?
I’ve learnt a lot about myself, as well as how to approach work and lead others. I’ve also been able to gain a good platform for the future with a professional qualification.

How has your training/professional development been tailored to your needs?
My line manager recommended that I gain AIEMA accreditation. I’ve been given additional materials and tools to help me tailor my learning to my needs.

What kinds of projects have you worked on?
As I hoped, I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects. Many have involved the environment and sustainability, which is where I want to specialise.

What are your goals over the next few years?
I want to learn as much as I can about Amey and contribute to how we address the environment and sustainability for our clients and as a company.
It’s really satisfying to be trusted to think for myself and get on with things.
