Talent Tracker Programme. Promoting employee development is crucial to our long term success.
Ongoing investment in continuous professional development helps to make Amey an employer of choice. Talent Tracker is our award-winning fast-track programme for high-potential candidates.
We relaunched Talent Tracker recently to give more employees the opportunity to apply. The programme was repackaged and rolled out across the whole of Amey within just three weeks.
The scale of the project increased its complexity. Amey’s more than 11,000 employees are spread across over 200 different sites across the UK. And many of our people spend a great deal of time offsite, making them more difficult to reach.
The solution was to create a highly sophisticated, multi-media communications platform to carry the Talent Tracker message around Amey. Sometimes the most innovative answers are the most practical: we sent text messages to people based out of the office.
The hard work and focused effort certainly paid off. Applications for Talent Tracker have risen dramatically. Even better, the majority of applicants are accepted onto the programme, including increasing numbers of recent graduates.
With such effective talent today and a strong pipeline for tomorrow, our business is in great shape to deal with whatever comes next.
Birmingham Climate Change Festival. We’re passionate about environmental responsibility.
Not just for today, but for future generations as well. Succeeding in our chosen markets means taking our responsibilities seriously. We aim to integrate social issues into the way we do business, particularly around sustainability.
We try to help our customers adopt sustainable practices. We’re also willing to show leadership as a corporate citizen by backing initiatives such as the Climate Change Festival.
This global initiative promotes ideas to reinvent the city and change the way we manage our lives. That philosophy is in tune with how we work, which is why we sponsored the first Climate Change Festival in 2008 in Birmingham.
To demonstrate to local people some of the small changes that can help to make a big difference, we featured examples of environmental innovation and best practice from within our business, focusing on transport.
Our event team showcased vehicles from our ‘green fleet’ and also devised fun activities to get people thinking about journey planning as a way of reducing carbon emissions.
We’re proud to have contributed to the success of this important event. We’re even prouder to have opened minds to a different way of thinking.
