Would you like to earn while you learn, gain recognised qualifications and grow your career with a great company?

You might not have heard of us, but each day, practically everyone in the UK benefits from an Amey service. If you’ve driven on a motorway, thrown rubbish in a bin or drunk water from a tap, it’s quite likely that we helped with this. We pride ourselves on delivering great services, backed by cutting-edge data and technology.

We’re also a great place to work. By joining Amey you’ll be able to help grow our business, at the same time as getting the chance to grow your career, as we’ll give you all the support and development you’ll need to help you to achieve your personal and professional goals at Amey.

Through working on a variety of projects, learning new skills and working with a great group of people every day, we’ll give you the chance to shine. You can make a real difference to your career and the lives of the communities you work in.

Are you looking for a great place to start your career? Then find out more about becoming an Amey apprentice.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Business Award

We’ll encourage you to develop your skills and talents by giving you the chance to enrol in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Business Award (DofE) (subject to eligibility). Read more here.

The DofE Gold Award will help you develop skills and experiences that you can use in the workplace, such as, communication, team working, leadership, confidence, planning, problem solving and time management.

Who are we looking for?

We want people who care about our customers as much as we do. We place great importance on customer focus, and on doing business ethically and to the highest standards. So if you believe in providing excellent service and giving customers - and their customers - great experiences, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for self-motivated people. We want people who take personal responsibility for everything they do and will help us grow our business by contributing to improvements and innovation, however big or small.

We treat people as individuals. There’s no such thing as a typical Amey person. We welcome a range of abilities, from practicality and problem solving to precision and creativity. That goes for diversity too. We want a workforce as diverse as the communities we serve and value the experience that brings to our business.

What’s in it for me?

As well as gaining recognised qualifications, developing valuable skills and earning a good salary, you’ll be on a permanent contract with paid holidays. This means that you’ll continue to be an Amey employee when you’ve finished your apprenticeship.
