Consulting
Amey offers a variety of award winning consultancy disciplines, including design engineering, asset management, and advisory services. From complex engineering design and architecture, to feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and management consultancy, Amey can offer support at every stage of the process.
Facilities Management
Amey provides a comprehensive range of facilities management services. We deliver services to a large proportion of the Government's estate, as well as to departments, agencies, non-departmental bodies, and the private sector. Our expertise lies in bundled services; for example, our MoD account at their HQ in Whitehall comprises over 60 separate services alone.
Highways Services
Amey provides highways related services to both local and Central Government, offering design, management, and ongoing maintenance work. We have local authority contracts UK-wide, including the £2.7bn Birmingham highways PFI. We are also a significant supplier of services to the UK motorway and trunk road network, and we are the sole provider to the Highways Agency on Area 9 – the motorway network around Birmingham. This is one of the busiest parts of the road network in the country, carrying around 3 million vehicles every day.
Rail Services
Amey deliver innovative and versatile solutions to rail networks, train operating companies and government agencies throughout the UK.
We develop, design, maintain, repair, renew and enhance the infrastructure within the UK operational railway, making us a leading provider of specialist, end-to-end railway infrastructure services. Other activities include asset management, condition monitoring, minor civil engineering (platforms, equipment bases, pipe crossings, retaining walls) and vegetation control.
Street Lighting
Amey provides street lighting as an individual service, and as part of many highways projects. Our street lighting projects are designed to support local authorities in achieving their strategic priorities. Better street lighting is proven to reduce crime and fear of crime, helps reduce the number and severity of road traffic accidents and helps sustain social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the public.
Transportation
Our in house fleet and plant capability means that we are perfectly placed to provide transportation facilities to our customers. A good example of this is our groundbreaking Buckinghamshire contract, where we provide transport on a daily basis for over 17,000 people. This includes mainstream home-to-school transport, special educational needs (SEN), safeguarded children, and adult social care.
Waste Management
We have the ability to provide waste management services to our clients, both through stand-alone and bundled service contracts. For specialist contracts, such as energy from waste projects, we also have the ability to draw on expertise from the wider Ferrovial group.
