We work with local authorities across the UK, delivering both stand-alone and integrated services. We provide a range of infrastructure and environment related services that include delivering and supporting transport infrastructure, tailoring and providing solutions to enhance the local environment, and providing and managing education and community facilities.

Amey Roads North Lanarkshire

Through an innovative Public Private Partnership (PPP), Amey and North Lanarkshire Council, operating as Amey Roads North Lanarkshire Ltd (ARNL), provide a road maintenance service for North Lanarkshire Council, Scotland’s fourth largest local authority.


Bedfordshire Highways

As Bedfordshire Highways, Amey is working with Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedford Borough Council to modernise the county’s highways infrastructure. This pioneering contract is one of the first local authority Managing Agents Contracts (MACs) in the UK.


Birmingham Highways PFI

Amey is responsible for improving and maintaining Birmingham Highways infrastructure, including 2,500km of road network, nearly 100,000 street lights, as well as over 850 highway structures and bridges across the city.


Buckinghamshire County Council

In May 2008, Amey entered into a groundbreaking partnership with Buckinghamshire County Council to plan, procure and manage all Client Transportation Services in the county.


Calderdale Highways

This Highways Term Maintenance Contract sees Amey working in partnership to deliver highways services, street lighting and winter maintenance across the 1090 km road network within the Calderdale Metropolitan Borough.


Cumbria Highways

Amey is working with the County Council and its consultant in a three-way strategic partnership. This innovative, client-led relationship delivers significant financial savings for the Council, with excellent services and economic benefits for the local communities.


Halton Highways

The six year contract sees Amey working in partnership with Halton Borough Council to deliver routine, reactive, and proactive highway work, programmed highway maintenance and improvement, and integrated transport schemes; across the network.


Hampshire Highways

Working in partnership with Hampshire County Council, Amey deliver all aspects of road and footway maintenance to over 9,000 km of Hampshire’s road network.


Herefordshire Highways

In 2003, Herefordshire Council procured new service delivery contracts through a joint venture with Jarvis plc for highways contract services, and with Owen Williams for highways design consultancy services.


Hertfordshire Highways

Hertfordshire Highways is a three-way alliance between Hertfordshire County Council, their design consultancy, Mouchel, and their works contractor, AmeyLafarge.  Extensions have recently been awarded and the alliance will continue to 2012.


Plymouth Highways

We manage and maintain over 900 kilometres of roads, 180 structures and several thousand street lights, providing emergency response, winter maintenance and street lighting, plus a full network management service.

Wakefield, Walsall, York

Amey design and manage street lighting projects to support local authorities in achieving their strategic priorities and objectives; ultimately helping to reduce carbon emissions, night time accidents and crime.
